The 'Historical Seas' Tall Ships Regatta 2010
For the first time in 52 years of existance the Sail Training International (STI) Tall Ships Regatta is being organised in the South-Eastern Mediterranean with Greek participation under the theme of 'Historical Seas'.
The Historical Seas Tall Ships Regatta took place in May and early June 2010 and MIXit can provide Yacht Charter or Accommodation for those who wish to experience this fantastic event.

Starting in Volos City - 9th till 12th May 2010
Volos, with Argo as its symbol was chosen as the maritime city hosting the regatta which is to take place from May till June 2010.
The Argonauts Route
Leg one of the Historical Seas Tall Ships Regatta will follow the route, according to legend, of Jason and the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece from Volos, Greece (9-12 May) through the Dardanelles into the Black Sea. The next port of call will be Varna, Bulgaria (21-24 May), departing on the countryfs National Day (24 May). From there the fleet will race to Istanbul, Turkey (27-30 May), where the Regatta will be a centrepiece of the cityfs celebrations of its designation as European Capital of Culture in 2010. From there the fleet will cruise and race to Lavrion, Greece (4-7 June) close to Athens and a wealth of other historical and cultural sites in the region of Attica.
Volos will be the starting point of the Argonauts route and the port where the Tall Ships will assemble from the 9th May 2010
